Julien Lemasle - B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer GVA

How is it possible to fly? This is the question that I asked myself when I was growing up. As a radio-electrician engineer I’ve learnt about navigation, communication, avionics, electrical systems and also about hydraulics pneumatics and fuel systems. This knowledge is essential and is often called upon when undertaking troubleshooting investigations. I enjoy my job because of the diversity of tasks I get to undertake, not only working on aircraft in the hangar but also externally when running engines and performing flight tests. I like the challenges of repairing business jets to deadline so that our customers can fly without delay.

Testimonials

I chose to become an aircraft engineer as I have always been interested in aircraft from a young age. Originally I wanted to train to be a pilot but as that didn’t happen I embarked upon a career as an engineer as I enjoy practical work. I like carrying out tasks that can be challenging and in particular those that require good hand coordination and knowledge. It is always rewarding looking at a finished technical task and I take a great sense of pride upon their completion.
